Genstar Strengthens Management Team With Promotion Of Darren Gold To Managing Director

In addition, Genstar also announced that J. Ryan Clark and James D. Nadauld have been promoted to Vice President.“We are pleased to recognize Darren’s many accomplishments since he joined Genstar in 2000,” said Jean-Pierre L. Conte, Chairman and Managing Director of Genstar. “He has been closely involved in all aspects of our investment process including, sourcing transactions, expanding Genstar’s executive network, overseeing our investments, and developing creative exit strategies for our portfolio companies. Darren is enthusiastic about continuing to implement our investment strategy, with a particular emphasis on industrial and business services companies, and we look forward to his future contributions.” Prior to joining Genstar, Darren was an engagement manager with McKinsey & Company’s Corporate Finance Practice, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and private equity in a variety of industries, including health care and basic industrial manufacturing and services. He began his career as an attorney at Irell & Manella in Los Angeles. Darren earned a B.A. in political science and history from UCLA, cum laude, and a J.D. from the University of Michigan, magna cum laude. He is a Director of Genstar portfolio companies INSTALLS inc, LLC, Altra Industrial Motion, Inc. and Panolam Industries International, Inc.In their new positions, Messrs. Clark and Nadauld will continue to help identify, evaluate and execute acquisition and investment opportunities. Prior to joining Genstar, Mr. Clark was an Associate at Hellman & Friedman LLC, and previously worked at Morgan Stanley. He earned an MBA from the Harvard Business School, an A.B. in Environmental Science and Public Policy from Harvard College and is a Director of Genstar portfolio companies Panolam Industries International, Inc. and Fort Dearborn Company. Prior to joining Genstar, Mr. Nadauld was an Associate with MedEquity Investors, LLC in Wellesley Hills, MA, and previously was an Investment Bank Analyst in the Global Healthcare Group at Lehman Brothers, Inc. and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in English from Brigham Young University.
